About GMI

GMI is a faith-based nonprofit organization founded in 1983 and dedicated to furthering God's mission in the world through applied research, geographic mapping and information technology services.
Mission
Our mission is to produce and present world-class research that fuels emerging mission movements and leaders. Our highest priority is serving and empowering evangelical leaders in the developing world. We often work within partnerships, serving with like-minded organizations and associates around the world.
Vision
Our vision is to see the worldwide Christian community make Spirit-guided use of research information to stimulate mission interest, shape mission appropriately, and carry it out effectively.
Role in Operation World
Our responsibilities included:

designing, creating and publishing the Operation World CD-ROM

designing, creating and publishing the Operation World DVD-ROM

designing, creating and publishing the Operation World wall map

designing, developing and maintaining the database and information technology aspects of the Operation World website

designing and creating maps for the Operation World book: locator maps for all countries, and world and regional thematic maps
