JAVA
1 Praise God for the receptivity to the gospel of the Jawa people and Indonesians of Chinese descent
2 There is much spiritual and numerical growth in the churches among the urban Jawa and Indonesians of Chinese descent
3 As never before, traditional Protestant, Evangelical and Pentecostal churches have united in prayer, mutual support and information-sharing
4 Jakarta and Surabaya are key cities
for the evangelization of Indonesia
5 The major unreached people groups,
however, have been tragically resistant and neglected:
a) The unreached Jawa ethnic sub-groups with less than 1% Christians
b) The 35 million Sunda live in West Java. They profess Islam, but are highly influenced by underlying animism and traditional Sunda beliefs
c) The Madura
d) The Jawa Tengger people living on the slopes of Mt. Bromo

BALI
1 A unique blend of Hinduism dominates the spiritual landscape of Bali
2 Bali Christians are few
3 Effective cooperation in ministry among Bali believers is a need
4 The Bali Bible was published in
1990. Its use is limited because most do not understand its 'high caste' language
