Most of the population are Catholic, but there are other mainline denominations (Anglican, Presbyterian and Methodist) as well as a growing number of evangelicals/charismatics. From four evangelical congregations in 2000, there are now 10. Ministry by these latter groups to the Gibraltarian majority can be difficult due to Catholic predomination. Every home has received at least some Christian literature; the Christian bookshop sells many Bibles. There is a need for unity among believers of these different and diverse small groups, most of which came into being out of the mainline denominations. Pray for further evangelical growth and for revival among the mainline majority churches.

The Operation World book, CD-ROM, and DVD-ROM provide far more information and fuel for prayer for the people of Gibraltar.
